Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has described Apostle Prof. Ing. Kwadwo Safo’s achievements in Agriculture, technology and industrialization as remarkable.
The Vice President who was the Special Guest at the 39th
edition of the Kristo Asafo Mission of Ghana Annual Technology and Agricultural
Exhibition in Accra yesterday also reiterated government’s commitment to make
technical and vocational education a major component of the educational
curriculum as well as modernising how technical and vocational education is
done in the country.
He also added that the Government of Ghana is currently constructing modern Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions in all 16 regions of the country as well as the construction of training workshops in five polytechnics and technical universities across the country.
Dr Bawumia also reassured Ghanaians that government would
extend its flagship free Senior High School (SHS) to TVET institutions so as to
relieve parents and guardians of the burden of paying fees.
