Former Central Regional Chairman of the largest opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) and Social Commentator, Bernard Allotey Jacobs wants politicians and the families to be the first casualties in the unlikely event violence breaks out in the country in 2020.
He insists that these politicians who are busily beating war drums should be the first targets in such situations in order to serve as a deterrent to others who are calling for bloodbath ahead of the 2020 polls.
The Former NDC executive observed that since the inception of the fourth republican constitution, the country has enjoyed some relative peace warning that those who are seeking to spark violence should be reminded that they themselves and their families will be possible targets in such situations.
“I would advocate that when trouble erupts in the country, no politician should be spared. If you cause trouble and leave the country your relations but be the target. But let us ask ourselves from 1992 where we gained the fourth republican dispensation has there been a violence in this country”, he disclosed on Accra-based Kingdom FM monitored by MyNewsGh.com.
