Upper East Regional Minister Ms Tangoba Abayage has for the first time publicly announced her decision to contest the parliamentary primaries of the New Patriotic Party(NPP) in the Navrongo Central Constituency.

It will be recalled MyNewsGh.com had earlier reported that the former Ghana’s Ambassador to Italy was nursing plans to join the race to Ghana’s parliament on the ticket of the governing NPP for the Navrongo Central constituency.
Speaking to journalists at a press soiree in Bolgatanga on
Friday, Ms. Tangoba Abayage announced she had earlier in the day picked forms
to contest in the primaries.
“Earlier today I paid GHS2,000 in Bank draft in the
name of the New Patriotic Party(NPP) to contest in the parliamentary primaries
for the Navrongo Central constituency,” she disclosed.
This announcement, brings to an end rumours of her interest in getting elected as a Member of Parliament.

Ms. Tangoba Abayage will face-off with Joseph Kofi Adda, who was elected to parliament in 2016 and currently the Minister for Aviation.
