Editor of pro-NDC newspaper Daily Post, Michael Dokosi has replied to claims by former National Security Advisor Brigadier (rtd) Joseph Nunoo-Mensah that former President John Dramani Mahama distanced himself from experienced and principled statesmen during his tenure as president.
According to Mr. Dokosi, the 80-year-old retired Brigadier General makes old age unattractive.
The retired army officer accused John Mahama of clearing the house of experienced and competent people and replacing them with ‘small boys’.
“President Mills may he rest in peace, as a politician you must come to power with a certain mindset, Nkrumah and Mills were different. Mills is like a pastor, we sit to have a chat. Mills never failed because he had people with brains around him but Mahama came and he pushed them all away and brought the young ones, kids don’t play football,” he told Samuel Eshun in an interview on the Happy Morning Show (HMS).
But responding to these claims, Michael Dokosi said “Brigadier Nunoo-Mensah should tell us which people around Mills that Mahama pushed away?”
“The following people, all with Mills, were with Mahama too; Ato Ahwoi, Kwesi Ahwoi, Valerie Sawyerr, Yaw Donkor, Totobi Quakyi, Omane Boamah, Okudjeto-Ablakwa, Hanna Tetteh, Fifi Kwetey, Julius Debrah, Kwamena Ahwoi, Valerie Sawyerr, Victor Smith, Paa Kwesi Amissah-Arthur, Kumbor, Alex Segbefia, Bebaako Mensah, Haruna Iddrisu, Mahama Ayariga, Kofi Amah-Buah, Kumbuor, Allotey Jacobs, Kwadwo-Twum Boafo, John Jinapor and many more. So, the old brigadier should come again”
“People like him are making old age unattractive” he jabbed.
