Member of Parliament(MP) for Tempane Constituency in the Upper East Region, Lawyer Dindiok Kpemka says he should be hailed for improving the lives of his people by grading their roads.
According to him, previously, the town and other roads leading to his constituency were in bad shape but taking over power in the area, he has been able to grade them
He made this known when he spoke to Citi FM in an interview monitored by MyNewsGh.com.
He said “you know, for many years my people have not seen any improvement in the area of roads…I improved the situation by grading the roads”.
” If you know the situation of the people you will realize that they will appreciate what I’ve done.”
When he was told that just grading roads for his people without getting them tarred is an exercise in mediocrity, the Lawmaker told the host that ” I was a teacher you know and once a teacher always a teacher. If I were your teacher I will mark you down for wrongful use of vocabulary… Umaru- You will mark me down? Yes, I will mark you down. If a situation has been improved from the previous you don’t term it mediocrity… It is an improvement and the people appreciate it”.
The Upper East Region is one part of the country that suffers from bad road network with the Bawku-Bolga Road being a typical example.

Although successive governments have promised to give their roads a face-lift, that has never seen the light of day. The much talked about Bolga-Bawku roads are still not worked on although there have been several promises by different governments.
