The former AFC Leopards striker started 2020 on a high, scoring seven goals in the four Kenyan Premier League matches he played in.

Makwatta started with a hat-trick against Zoo FC in Ingwe’s 4-1 win, then followed it up with a goal as the 13-time champions fell 2-1 to Posta Rangers.

Makwatta’s brace helped his team complete a double over Wazito in their 2-0 before striking once to help his team defeat Kisumu All-Stars 2-0 at Moi Stadium in Kisumu.

It was not a surprise when Zambia giants ZESCO United came in for his signature.
