Dr. Owusu Akyem in an interview monitored by MyNewsGh.com has said that the people of Atiwa West constituency should vote out the cabinet minister who is the minister for roads and highways, Hon. Akwasi Amoako Atta.
According to Dr.Owusu Akyem who just picked his nomination forms, Hon Amoako Atta has done virtually nothing in the constituency after ten years of being the member of parliament for the constituency and therefore does not deserve another chance to represent the constituency on the ticket of the ruling New Patriotic Party.
“Atiwa West is lagging far behind in development. The people here are suffering and are calling on me to come to their rescue. We can not give a second chance to someone who has done nothing for the constituency for ten years”, he told Radio 1 news.
“In a constituency where there is no district hospital. There is no one to rescue this dying constituency. Go to Kwabeng and it’s environed and see how the youth are suffering, women there are complaining. That’s why I have responded to the call from my constituents to come to their rescue”- Dr. Akyem added.
The aspirant who appeared to be more confident in his submission added that if the delegates in Atiwa put their trust in him to lead the constituency, he would focus on health, education and job creation to help alleviate poverty and hardships in the constituency.
