The leader of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama in a live speech today March 16, 2020 has declared his support for government in the fight against Coronavirus.
According to the Former President, it is time for the nation to unite to fight the common enemy disclosing that his former appointees who are knowledgeable about dealing with Ebola are willing to work with the Akufo-Addo government in dealing with the coronavirus pandemic.
“We will be supportive of the national efforts and vigilance, but the government must make all the necessary investments now,” he said in the live streaming monitored by MyNewsGh.com.
He added that it was not prudent to transport cases recorded outside the capital as was the Obuasi confirmed case.
“Provide isolation centers in all regions, cases recorded kilometers away from Accra must not be transported here for isolation,” he said.
The former president urged Ghanaians to follow the Ghana Health Service guidelines by ensuring personal hygiene.
