Technologist and Vice President of policy think, tank Imani Africa, Bright Simons has alleged that the Electoral Commission of Ghana (EC) is hell bent on engaging in mass registration of Ghanaians so as to compile a new register.
In a tweet sighted by MyNewsGh.com, Mr Simons known for his fierce opposition to the compilation of a new register, revealed that the EC is persuading the government of Ghana to be able to start the mass registration exercise latest by the 18th of May, 2020 given that the register must be completed by 30th June 2020.

The EC’s decision to compile a new register has been met
with stiff opposition from civil society organizations and some opposition
political parties, notably the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
