New Patriotic Party(NPP) Parliamentary Aspirant for Dome Kwabenya Constituency, Michael Aaron Nii Nortey Yaw Oquaye has denied reports suggesting that he has chickened out of the contest that has since been suspended
There were reports in some sections of the media suggesting that the son of Ghana’s Speaker of Parliament had withdrawn from the internal NPP contest against Procurement Minister, Sarah Adwoa Safo.
But in a statement sighted by MyNewsGh.com, the candidate has denied knowledge of the said reports and has asked that it is treated with the contempt it deserves.
The statement said “We assure all that, per the directives coming from the National Secretariat of our Great Party, we still remain bold, confident and resolute that when all is set and a new date, day, time and venue is communicated from national, we shall be in and God Willing win the race”.
It called on all en-sundry to be resolute and wait on the party’s National Executives to provide them with a new road map for the internal contest.
