Atik Mohammed reveals Sam George’s ‘secrets’ and MORE in latest reply

Former General Secretary of the People’s National Convention (PNC), Atik Mohammed has alleged that Ningo-Prampram Member of Parliament (MP), Sam George was a member of the New Patriotic Party(NPP) but joined the National Democratic Congress (NDC) as a result of what he stood to gain but not based on ideology or principles, insisting that Sam George had no way of quitting the NDC after he had had such a long association with the party.

Atik Mohammed, who is in a war of  words with Sam George, claimed that Sam George had experimented with parties in power before his prolonged association with the NDC forced him to declare himself an NDC member for opportunistic purposes.

“In your experiments with parties in power, the NDC was in power longer enough to expose your association with them, making it difficult to stage a return to the NPP. So you had to stay. So your stay was not borne out of any belief in the ideology of the NDC or anything of the sort but a function of opportunism. So quit saying when you eventually “decided to join the NDC”, because you had no choice but to stay after you were exposed,” he hit back.

The two started trading insults and accusations after Atik Mohammed condemned the actions of Sam George in seeking to scuttle a planned meeting of the Electoral Commission of Ghana(EC).

Sam George had accused Atik Mohammed of being a paid agent of the EC whose job is to defend the EC no matter how wrong it is, adding that Mr Atik Mohammed had requested of him to make it possible for him to meet with Ibrahim Mahama.

But this Atik Mohammed has denied claiming that Sam George wouldn’t have been his first port of call even if he wanted to meet with Ibrahim

“Now to the question of meeting me. Aren’t you just pathetic? Suggesting that I had a way-side conversation with you seeking to meet Ibrahim. Do you have an idea how many efforts were made to cause a meeting between us which I declined? If I were that enthused about meeting your “friend”, albeit in the scheme of things, you are not qualified to regard yourself as Ibrahim’s friend, do you seriously think a hanger-on like you would be my first choice to make that happen?” He wondered.

My opinions about the NDC and the then President he supported are a matter of public knowledge. We saw the sudden change in positions and views of those who wanted the favors of Ibrahim and the likes including some Journalists. I never for a minute, wavered in my critical assessment of the then government’s performance. A person desiring to catch the eye of your so called friend would be less aggressive on his interests, no? Anyway, may I refresh your memory as it is obvious it isn’t retentive on the nature of our casual conversation. The conversation we had, boarded on the sponsorship of my opponent by one David Lamptey who I understand is late now the first time I ran to be General Secretary.

 I lamented and legitimately so, how his support for my opponent dealt me a big blow. So how could such a conversation turn into a request to meet Ibrahim. This attempt to assume some relevance is cheaper than the cost of Abeti3😂😂. At the time we met at that washing bay in early 2012, Prof Mills was the President and you were nothing beyond an errand boy in the Flagstaff House. So stop exaggerating your influence at the time just to smear me. You also recommend I get a life. I agree, but the refreshing news is that, I already have one; far more than you can ever imagine. Trust me Mr MP who drew his salary from our taxes only yesterday, my life is built for greater things. And in the fullness of time, if your violent tendencies do not consume you, you will see. Ask those who know me truly well and you will appreciate that I indeed have a life- probably brighter than many lives. As for happenings in the PNC and the source you quoted, you wouldn’t want me to address that Mr MP who draws our taxes to attack constitutional bodies doing their jobs. Trust me, Lol.
