Stop your envy and jealousy fueled attacks on Zanetor else

Action Movement, a group sympathetic to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has warned that journalist and host of Good Evening Ghana on Metro TV, Paul Adom-Otchere will be served with a dose of his own medicine if he does not cease his scathing “irresponsible and sponsored media aggression against Member of Parliament(MP) for Klottey Korle, Dr Zanetor Agyemang-Rawlings.

In a media statement signed by its leader and sighted by MyNewsGh.com, the group noted that Mr Adom-Otchere has missed no opportunity to attack Dr Zanetor Agyemang-Rawlings, especially through editorials on his show, warning that if he does not cease with his scathing attacks, motivated by envy and jealousy, on the person of Dr Zanetor Agyemang-Rawlings, he will have them to contend with.

“In a so-called editorial on Metro TV’s Good Evening Ghana program on Tuesday 28th April 2020, Adom-Otchere launched yet another scathing attack on Dr Zanetor Rawlings, calling on her to stay clear off the NDC running mate slot, in that, this is not the time for Zanetor Rawlings to think about being a running mate.

It is undoubtedly clear that the most uneducated person in Ghana knows that Paul Adom-Otchere is a paid agitator. He does not practice journalism, and we from the Action Movement want to place on record that we will face off with Paul Adom-Otchere going forward.

Action Movement is convinced that many of Adom-Otchere’s actions and hate speech against Dr Zanetor-Rawlings is fueled largely by envy and jealousy,” the statement reads in part.

The group expressed surprise that a person of Mr Adom-Otchere’s character is allowed to host an important programme such as Good Evening Ghana on television during primetime, accusing him of being self-important and egoism

“And we wonders why a person consumed by envy and naked jealousy should have such an important job as Prime time TV anchor.

The only thing that Paul Adom-Otchere has been good for now is jumping from bandwagon to bandwagon to bolster his own overinflated ego. He seem to be way over his head – self-important to the utmost, and indeed, that’s surely going to be his fall,” the group lashed out.

NDC Running Mate Editorial

Mr Adom-Otchere, in an editorial on who is likely to be the NDC’s running mate, suggested that Dr Zanetor Agyemang-Rawlings, though considered as part of the frontrunners for the position, was relatively new to frontline politics and that it may not be time for her to be a running mate. But the group has sought to know what Mr Adom-Otchere’s concern is regarding who become the NDC’s running mate

“In any event, what is Adom-Otchere’s interest in NDC running mate matters?

Why would he persistently and unjustifiably continue to attack Dr Zanetor Rawlings?  And what does he mean by Zanetor Rawlings came from nowhere to become an MP? If Adom-Otchere really comes from somewhere, he should just go from his somewhere, pick up a seat and go to parliament. That will be more befitting than the mercenary journalism that he is practising,” the statement pointed out.

For the group, Dr Zanetor Agyemang-Rawlings is well-qualified to be the NDC’S running mate for very good reason.

“If Paul Adom-Otchere cares to know, Dr Zanetor Rawlings is more than qualified to be John Mahama’s running Mate. She has the charisma, the goodwill of the people and very articulate. She has integrity, at least. Something Adom-Otchere have lost forever,” the statement explained.
