Embattled former Regional Chairman of the opposition National Democratic Congress( NDC) in the Central Region, Bernard Allotey Jacobs has been suspended by the NDC’s Function Executive Committee which acted in the stead of the National Executive Committee for what the party describes as Mr Allotey Jacobs’ ” persistent anti-party conduct” with immediate effect pending a decision from the party’s Disciplinary Committee.
In a letter dated 6th May, 2020 and signed by the party’s National President, Mr Allotey Jacobs is said to have breached articles 46(1), 46(6) and 46(8)(b) of the NDC constitution.
Mr Allotey Jacobs has been much criticised for always chastising his own party on major platforms such as Peace FM, where he has become a regular panelist.
Earlier today, the party withdrew from all political discussions on Peace FM, mainly because of Mr Allotey Jacobs permanence there as a “social commenter” aligned to the NDC and the dictatorial tendencies of the host of the political show, Kokrokoo.
But Allotey Jacobs had reacted by saying that the party had the choice to withdraw.
On his suspension however, Mr Allotey Jacobs is yet to respond.
