Newly appointed Campaign Chairman of the ruling New Patriotic Party Peter MacManu is rolling out a 3-M strategy to prosecute its 2020 campaign.
According to Mr. MacManu who is Board Chair of the Ghana Ports and Harbours, the 3-M stands for Money, Mobilization and Messaging which will be executed differently by different officials of the campaign.
“Dr Abdul-Hamid Mustapha is the deputy campaign manager in charge of communications (Messaging); Mr Lord Commey is a deputy in charge of mobilisation (Men); while Dr Afua Asabea Asare is in charge of fundraising (Money)”, he explained.
“We have a strong party and candidate. What is left is to find the appropriate message that will touch the hearts of the electorate, and we will reach the people through mobilisation, and we need money for that task.”
The campaign chair expressed strong confidence in the capacity of the selected team members to deliver victory.
“When I was the National Chairman, Lord Commey was my Organiser and John Boadu was my Youth Organiser. Both have excellent organisational and mobilisation skills, and they will be supported ably by Sammi Awuku, our current National Organiser, who is also a solid guy. And for Afua Asabea, she has a solid corporate background and image which will enable her carry out her work effectively,” he said of his team members.
“It is also instructive to note that the party is strongly represented on the campaign team. With the exception of Asabea, the rest are all party officers, current and past. That is very good to ensure that there is unison in the campaign in dealing with the party, government and campaign team,” he added.
