Otumfuo, Akufo-Addo great and visionary leaders to work with

 Simon Osei Mensah has revealed his working experience with  Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the King of Asante and President Nana Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo since he took the reigns of office as the Ashanti Regional Minister under this current administration.

“I thank the Almighty God for the opportunity the President has given me to serve in his government and also during the reign of Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the Asantehene. These are the two great powerful visionary leaders and any normal person who wishes good for his people or her people will like to work with them”, the Minister pointed out.

At a sod-cutting ceremony for the reactivation works on the forty-two year-old abandoned Maternity and Children’s block of the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH)  he said”I think I am the happiest person today”

The almost 1,000 bed maternity and child health block started in 1974 was to help deal with the serious congestion on the existing facility.

Parliament has approved a loan of 155 million Euros between the Government and Deutsche Bank AG, London Branch, for the completion and equipping of the Maternity and Children’s blocks of the Komfo-Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH).

The loan (€155,043,352.60) is made up of two components; €122,543,352.60 is the UK Export Finance Support Fee whilst the €32,500,000 is for the completion of the project.
