The Ghana Freedom Party(GFP) has officially written to the Speaker of Parliament to work on a Constitutional provision to give room for President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to continue his tenure in order to fight COVID-19 completely.
The letter according to the party should be discussed by parliament in order to ensure that an action is taken in order not to plunge the country into constitutional crises should the novel coronavirus persist
To the political party, Nana Akufo-Addo has started the fight beautifully and needs to be given the opportunity to finish the fight before any election is conducted in the country.
It said a continuation of his tenure will help eliminate the deadly virus from the country.
Ghana has currently recorded 6,098 with 31 deaths.
