Member of Parliament (MP) for Kumbungu Constituency in the Northern Region Ras Mubarak has said his test results for COVID-19 are out negative and cannot keep calm about it
Members of Parliament(MPs) upon an order by the Speaker of Parliament Aaron Mike Oquay were tested for the deadly COVID-19.
An elated lawamaker who will not be returning to Parliament in 2021 while announcing his test results through a post on his Facebook page said “My Coronavirus test result is negative as expected. Tests are vital in controlling the spread of Covid-19”.
Ghana has seen a surge in the number of COVID-19 positive cases in the latest update provided by the Ghana Health Service.
According to the service, Ghana has currently recorded 6,964 with 2,097 out of the total have recovered from the disease.
Currently, the country has not recorded any new death, pegging the number of deaths at 32.
Speaking at the Press Briefing currently ongoing, Dr. Patrick Kuma-Aboagye said: “As of 24th May 2020 a total of about 156 new cases have been recorded in Ghana”.
“The cases were identified in five out of the 16 regions. Greater Accra contributing about 72 new cases, Western Region 57, Central Region 13 new cases, Volta Region reported an increase of 10 new cases, and Ashanti recording probably the lowest figure ever in the Region of four new cases in a day,” he disclosed.
