Former President of Ghana, John Dramani has shared his 16-list of Assurances to the Ghanaian populace as he laces his boot to claim power from the New Patriotic Party (NPP) on December 7, 2020.
The 16-list assurances covers diverse sectors of the economy including roads, health and education.
In education, the former President says he will cancel the mandatory National Service for students who come out of the Teacher Training Colleges and also cancel the lincensure exams which has become an albatros on the neck of final year students in teacher training colleges.
He has also assured Ghanaians to undertake a comprehensive review of the Free SHS policy which the NDC has since its implementation pointed various shortfalls accompanied with it.
Known for his investment in infrastructure, John Mahama intends to complete all the E-Blocks he started and also establish six new Universities in the New Regions created by the New Patriotic Party led by Akufo-Addo.
In health, the former President said he will expand and double the capacity of the 37 Military Hospital and construct two International infectious disease centres to ensure that Ghana is up to speed should another pandemic break. In addition to this, the former President intends establishing two international research centres and put in place a national infectious disease response plan.
He also intends to complete all hospital projects he started but have been abandoned by the NPP government.
