Embattled National Chairman of the People’s National Convention (PNC) Bernard Mornah has described Matthew Nyindam, Member of Parliament (MP) for Kpandai Constituency, as a “buffoon” who has been privileged to go to Parliament following Mr Nyindam’s remark that persons who congregated in support of Mr Mornah as he honoured an invitation by the police are “stupid”.
Yesterday, Mr Mornah was at the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) Headquarters in Accra following an invitation by the outfit. He was there to answer to pronouncements made by him which the CID found inappropriate.
Many throng the premises in solidarity with Mr Mornah including some lawmakers from the minority National Democratic Congress (NDC) but Mr Nyindam described these supporters as “foolish” for supporting Mr Mornah.
Reacting to Mr Nyindam’s comments, Mr Mornah described him as a buffoon who has been privileged to go to Parliament hence his “silly” utterances.
“When you have buffoons privileged to go to Parliament, they can make such ugly statements. I am referring to Matthew Nyindam, the MP for Kpandai,” he said on Pan African TV monitored by MyNewsGh.com
Mr Mornah wondered why Mr Nyindam failed to criticize persons like President Akufo-Addo, Sammi Awuku, Kennedy Agyapong and others who, he claimed, made inappropriate pronouncements in the past.
“Is he not of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) where President today Nana Akufo-Addo said all die be die? Atewa Kra ye kyere won bibi kakra…what did they show in Atewa they showed violence. Did he condemn Nana Akufo-Addo? Was he stupid, was he foolish?” he asked.
