Legal luminary and Professor, Stephen Kwaku Asare mostly referred to as Kwaku Azar has condemned John Boadu, the General Secretary of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) for his instructions that NPP members who invoked curses on the party leadership should be suspended.
John Boadu had given orders for the suspension of disgruntled members who had heaped curses on party leadership following the disqualification of their preferred parliamentary aspirants.
But Prof Azar has called him out, wondering whether he will be happy if voters get suspended by commissioners of the Electoral Commission( EC) because of curses.
“GhanaWeb reports that, “the NPP has instructed constituency executives to suspend, with immediate effect, all delegates who invoked curses on leadership over the disqualification of some parliamentary aspirants.”
How happy will Boadu John be if the EC suspended voters who invoke curses on its members?
NPP ay3 m)b) dodo!” He lamented.
The Electoral Commission Chairperson, Jean Mensa, has been the target of curses from some Ghanaians who are critical of her actions, especially with regards to the compilation of the new voter register.
Earlier this year, the head pastor of Life Assembly Worship Center who is also the flagbearer of the Ghana Union Movement [GUM], a less known political party, Reverend Dr Christian Kwabena Adu popularly known ‘Osofo Kyiriabosom’, cursed the EC and its commissioners over their decision to compile a new voter register…
According to the spiritual curate, he has already invoked evil upon the EC boss and her deputies but warned that they will face the worse if they rescind their decision.
