The 2020 Campaign Manager for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Mr Peter Mac Manu has hinted that the party has started a reconciliatory process aimed at building bridges between the defeated lawmakers and the new entrants.
About 40 MPs have lost their slots in various constituencies where elections were held Saturday in the New Patriotic Party’s(NPP) Primaries and by that, it means they can no longer enter parliament in 2021
In order to solidify the party’s front ahead of a dicey election on December 7, the NPP will from today start a reconciliation process to get all losing candidates on board to help provide support for the winning candidates and the Party’s Presidential candidate.
Speaking to Asaase Radio in an interview, Peter Mac Manu who is managing the campaign team of the NPP ahead of the 2020 elections said the reconciliation team of the party headed by Akosua Frema Osei Opare will address problems emanated as a result of the election.
He indicated that the reconciliation team of the party will start its work aimed at patching up all the camps that were involved in the elections to build a consolidated front for the party ahead of elections 2020.
“He supported you when you won so you need to support him when he/ she has also won the elections. The reconciliation team headed by the Chief of Staff will start today to patch up from the various fallouts during the election.”
The generally peaceful New Patriotic Party(NPP) parliamentary primaries held on Saturday, June 20, 2020, produced some surprising results in the build-up to the December general elections.
Results certified by the Electoral Commission (EC) reveal that at least nine top-ranking legislators of the governing party have been kicked out.
