Member of Parliament (MP) for the Kwadaso Constituency, Dr Samiu Kwadwo Nuamah has lost the NPP’s parliamentary primaries, MyNewsGh.com reports.
He becomes the 41st incumbent legislator from the side of the majority who would not return to parliament after the 2020 elections.
He was unseated by the Executive Secretary of the National Accreditation Board (NAB), Dr Kingsley Nyarko.
Provisional results available to MyNewsGh.com indicates that, the incumbent polled 156 votes whereas Dr Kingsley Nyarko polled 172 with Vincent Frimpong Manu, a Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Middle belt Development Authority polling 50.
390 delegates were expected to cast their votes after a disputed electoral album with 730 delegates was annulled by the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the NPP.
