Media reports last week suggested that the President had suspended Cabinet meetings due to some members of his Cabinet team testing positive for the Coronavirus.
But in an interview on Accra-based Asempa FM monitored by MyNewsGh.com, Mr. Arhin stated that it was false reportage as President Akufo-Addo hasn’t suspended Cabinet meetings.
“Normally the President holds Cabinet meetings twice a week but this week, he had lots of other engagements like touring the registration centers and that is why it appears so but to the best of my knowledge, Cabinet meetings have not been suspended.” He told host of Ekosiisen show, Osei Bonsu (OB).
Meanwhile, five (5) appointees have so far tested positive for the virus and are recovering while others have unfortunately passed on.

Minister of Health, Kwaku Agyeman-Manu
CEO of the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA), Dr Lydia Dsane-Selby
Mayor of the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolitan Assembly, K.K. Sam (dead)
Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry, Carlos Ahenkorah
Also, the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) campaign manager for the 2020 general elections, Peter Mac Manu, has tested positive for COVID-19.
