The National Youth Organizer of the Peoples National Convention, Awudu Ishaq has rubbished the perception that the executives of the party are pseudo members of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) and National Democratic Congress (NDC).
According to him, that perception is there and remain normal.
“I disagree that PNC executives are pseudo members of the NDC and the NPP. That cannot be”, he told an Accra based radio station monitored by MyNewsGh.com
“I think there is a reason why people join political parties and you know that political parties are voluntary organistions that people join”, he emphasised.
“And I’m sure by the conviction of the several executives of all the political parties, if anybody wants to leave the PNC for any party, nobody will stop him or her. And so people cannot just conclude that the PNC executives are pseudo members of other parties”, he said.
“I’m just saying that this is not the first time hearing that. That perception is there. But I’m saying that it will remain a perception”, Mr Ishaq noted.
PNC has moved from a party with a future to a party with obscurity.
It used to have four members of parliament in the past, but now has zero MP despite trying hard to capture at least a seat in parliament after losing its only seat in 2016 to the NDC.
