Former Deputy General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Koku Anyidoho has stated he would not allow politics to break the brotherly love that exists between him and influential member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko.
He indicates that apart from football, he has nothing else to discuss with stalwart of the governing New Patriotic Party, noting that even though the two of them belong to opposing sides of the political divide, politics must not beak their bond of friendship built through their love for football.
Mr Anyidoho said that both of them are gunners, that is they support Arsenal Football Club and only meet to discuss football and nothing else.
“If anyone sees me with Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko, it is because we are discussing Arsenal. We are Gunners for life and politics shall not break that brotherly bond. Torfiakwa!!!!” He tweeted.
Koku Anyidoho is an influential member of the NDC who has served in various positions in the party’s leadership, notably as the party’s Deputy General Secretary while Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko, a stalwart of the New Patriotic Party(NPP) is deemed as being supremely influential in the government of President Nana Akufo-Addo, who is his uncle.
Their meetings will surely raise eyebrows in some quarters but Mr Anyidoho has sought to clear every doubt by revealing the only reason that brings them together.
