Hearts of Oak shot-stopper, Richard Attah, believes the Phobians will break their ten-year jinx of not winning the Ghana Premier League in the forthcoming season.
Hearts of Oak last won the league in the 2008/9 season and have struggled to win it in the past 10-years.
The 25-year-old former Elmina Sharks goalkeeper said he is of the conviction Hearts of Oak will win the upcoming GPL title with ease, looking at the signings the club has made. And it falls in line with his coach’s ambition as well.
“To me, it’s ninety-nine-point-nine percent that Hearts of Oak will win the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League title,” he said on MoTV on YouTube.
“Hearts of Oak will win the league simple. If you look at our coach, the players we have and the other players that are to join the team, trust me [Hearts of Oak will win the league].”
The second most successful club in the Ghana Premier League’s history, with 19 titles, made some remarkable signings to end their ten-year league trophy drought.
They have signed the likes of defender Nuru Sulley, Nigerian forward Danjuma Ademola Kuti, Ivorian winger Eric Dizan, attacker Abednego Tetteh and others.
Hearts of Oak will travel to Dormaa to play Aduana Stars in their first Ghana Premier League fixture in the 2020/21 season, which will begin on 13th November 2020.
