Actress Yvonne Nelson has told members of the opposition NDC not to see her tweet about Dumsor as an endorsement of their leader.
According to her, she was spelling out the facts from her point of view and that should not be mistaken for an endorsement of the political party.
The actress made this clarification through a tweet.
She said “NDC, listen, stop using me for your sweet headlines. I haven’t campaigned for ANY political party since i was born. My tweet about solving dumsor is exactly what happened when i held my vigil. DUMSOR ENDED two weeks after the vigil. STOP Misquoting me”.
The actress had earlier said that John Dramani Mahama after a vigil she organized to drum home the need for government to end the incessant power outages in the country in 2015 worked hard to earn the menace which was killing businesses in Ghana.
“I understand you are dumb…. let someone clever explain to you my dumsor campaign was for Ghanaians to get their lights back on, which President Mahama fixed and nothing else.”
To Yvonne Nelson, the system in Ghana now is overly polarized and worrying because one cannot reason independently but always has to do their reasoning along party lines.
