Ghana Premier League club, Legon Cities, have announced the appointment of experienced Ghanaian trainer, Bashir Hayford, as the club’s new head coach following the sacking of Goran Barjaktarevic.
The club officially announced parting ways with the Bosnian coach late yesterday after Accra Great Olympics thrashed the club last Friday by three goals to nil in the Ghana Premier League.
The Royals in another statement today, Wednesday, November 25, 2020, announced hiring the former Somalia national team head coach until the end of the 2020/21 Ghana football season.
Hayford has a great wealth of experience in the local scene coaching clubs like Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Medeama SC, and Ashantigold.
The former Black Queens coach’s immediate task will be to pull the strings together and ensure the club does well in the young 2020/21 Ghana Premier League season.
So far, the club has played two matches in the new season; first game, a 1-1 draw against Berekum Chelsea and lost 3-0 to Accra Great Olympics in the second game.
