President of Ghana has declared Monday December 7 as a public holiday.
This is to allow a smooth General Election in a period of COVID-19 to allow for strict adherence to the various safety measures put in place to fight the deadly pandemic.
The statement from the Presidency said the decision to declare the day a holiday was reached after the Electoral Commission Chairperson presented a proposal which is backed by all political parties to the President.
Meanwhile, Friday December 4 which was supposed to be a holiday according to the statement from the Presidency is not a holiday.
