The Director for Communications at the Presidency Eugene Arhin has disclosed that the President of Ghana Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has asked Deputy National Security Co-ordinator, Mr. Opare Duncan, to act as National Security Co-ordinator.
This comes a day after National Security Co-ordinator, Mr. Joshua Kyeremeh, passed away, sadly, on Monday, 18th January 2021.
Mr. Joshua Kyeremeh is said to have died from complications of the Kidney while receiving treatment on COVID0-19.
He is said to have died at the Ga West Hospital.
Announcing the President’s decision, Director for Communication at the Presidency said “The National Security Co-ordinator, Mr. Joshua Kyeremeh, passed away, sadly, on Monday, 18th January 2021. Arrangements for his funeral will be announced in due course. The President has asked the Deputy National Security Co-ordinator, Mr. Opare Duncan, to act as National Security Co-ordinator, pending the appointment of a substantive Co-ordinator. Our condolences and sympathies go to his widow and children. May God bless him, and let his soul rest in peace!”.
