You don't need to work with the same trade, they're other ways. It's not that trades give you an hard time because you're a woman. We just can't stand person in general who thinks they can watch a few YouTube videos and thinks they're qualified to instruct a person with 20 years experience. The we can't stand is people who thinks they can change the plan and layout without extra cost.
How much money did this cost building a house
I understand what you are saying, what happens if your contractor dies or if he goes out of business. What you need to do is , go down to your copy express or printing shop and make two extra copies of the ground and floor plan. You can then map out where the hidden lines are located by measurements, it call a mechanical plan ,this will not only help you, but other contractors and potential buyers as well.
My wife and I plan on building a house in Ghana very soon on land her family owns. What i would like to know and seem to not be able to find is what (from your experience) was your total costs associated with building your house? What was your total so i can begin to have an idea of prices even if its not directly related to what we plan to build, something is better than nothing. Thank you and great video.
If they don't listen to me they will be fired. I'm paying you. If I say jump you say how hi.

Good video.
THIS IS WHAT SICKENS ME ABOUT AFRICA—OUR PEOPLE GO TO SCHOOL TO LEARN HOW TO CREATE SYSTEMS THAT WILL GIVE GUIDANCE IN HOW TO MAKE SYSTEMS WORK FOR THE BETTERMENT OF AFRICAN COMMUNITIES–SUCH A WASTE OF TIME–THE OLDE MEN DON'T RESPECT GOOD SYSTEMS….JUST WANT TO DO THINGS THEIR WAY….WON'T GET TOGETHER ON ONE ACCORD…..WHEN IT COMES TO PLUMBING–ELECTRICALS–AIR CONDITIONING…..IT TERRIBLE…..IT SHOULD BE FINES GIVEN TO THE PEOPLE WHO WON'T FOLLOW CITY OR COUNTY BUILDING LAWS—-AND IF YOU DON'T HAVE ANY SYSTEMS THEN EDUCATED SCHOLARS COME TOGETHER AND CREATE–OR DESIGN BUILDING SYSTEM….0MG….WAKE UP AFRICA/ALKEBULAN PEOPLE.—-YOU SHOULD HAVE PERFECT SEWAGE–PLUMBING–ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS GET YOU EGO's OUT OF THE WAY…
I think these solar roofs and batteries that Elon Musk companies are producing would be good for Ghana and Africa.
why are you so determined to make these African men take orders from you as you see that is not the culture. If they take instructions from your uncle then allow your uncle to take the lead rather than getting your uncle to try and force them to obey you. Respect the culture.
thanks I will be doing it this week.
Very informative. Check out http://www.awukudela.com/laingoye – Laingoye House Building Project Blog
What about a damp course ? I have seen plenty of construction in Ghana where rising damp is a real problem. Most Ghanaians son,y know wht a damp course is but beleive me in Ghana its a must.
Would you please be so kind to shoot me an email.. so I can speak with you? I have a few questions that may be boring for others on the blog? Thank you. my name is Tricia.. you are such a beautiful queen..
Your hair is sooooo awesome !!!!
Your hair looks good, didn't they issue you with drawings to show stuff like electrics and pipes layout? You will need that long term even if you use the same workmen and the build is complete (extension, fixing). I agree about the finishing aspects of building in Ghana but we seem get it right for hotels etc.
YOU LOOK AMAZE.
THE LOGO?
THE SKIN?
THE HAIR?
MAAATE
UMMM

Yes, being a woman whom is firm on the job will mean that you are a witch, as per the men who you hire. lol Their egos seem frail and paperlike.
Excited that you'll be sharing about our natural building in Ghana. http://www.facebook.com/earthbagghana
